How do I search for Townlands ?

IreGaz is very flexible, so you will find that you gradually develop your own style of search

To gain confidence and understanding, experiment with the top dropdown (under IreGaz Search)

type "drum" in the top textbox (under Townlands)

result after clicking Search
top dropdownSTART of namemore than 2000 rows
top dropdownEND of namemore than 100 rows
top dropdownEXACT namefewer than 20 rows
top dropdownANYWHERE in namemore than 2200 rows
top dropdownWHOLEword in namefewer than 30 rows

Now do the same again, but this time type "island" in the top textbox

Experiment also with the checkboxes marked Townland, Town and Island. When all three of them are unchecked, IreGaz provides results based on which other checkboxes remain checked.
